TITLE:Senior Manager, Technology Operations

Duties:Oversee the maintenance, optimization, and scalability of our technology infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and data centers, to ensure seamless operations. Evaluate, select, and implement appropriate technology systems and solutions to enhance operational efficiency, productivity, and user experience. Work closely with finance and executive teams to manage the technology operations budget, optimizing resource allocation while meeting business needs. Establish and enforce data security policies and procedures to safeguard sensitive information. Stay informed about emerging technologies, trends, and industry best practices. Identify and recommend innovative solutions to improve operational effectiveness and efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including executive leadership, project managers, and business units, to understand technology requirements, align priorities, and deliver solutions that support organizational objectives. Remote work permitted within a reasonable commuting distance of the Indianapolis, IN office.

SCHEDULE:40 hours per week, Monday through Friday

LOCATION:SMB IT, Inc., 8425 Woodfield Crossing Blvd. 5th Floor East, Indianapolis, IN 46240

REQUIREMENTS:Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field and five (5) years of experience as a Systems Administrator, Information Technology Consultant, Systems Engineer, or closely related occupation.

SPECIAL SKILLS:Also required experience in the following:

  • Systems administration, network architecture, cloud technologies, and cybersecurity;
  • Strategic planning, budgeting, and resource management for information technology projects;
  • Provisioning, managing, and streamlining cloud infrastructure, integrating cutting-edge DevOps practices for Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CICD);
  • Developing and managing a wide range of AWS services, such as EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, Route 53, Cloud Front, IAM, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS, or Autoscaling;
  • Administering diverse environments covering Linux, Windows, and cloud platforms;
  • Leveraging industry-standard tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible to automate and orchestrate cloud resources;
  • Certifications from AWS, Azure, GCP, VMware VCP, RHCE, or ITIL.
