Job Details Assignment duration: 6 Months (Potential to extend or convert to full time) Location: Franklin Furnace, OH 45629 Estimated start: As soon as possible. Pay rate: $24 per hr. Summary: Supports plant procurement and warehousing activities . Schedule: M-F On site (7:30AM-4PM) Roles and Responsibilities: Monitors and directs work activities within areas of responsibility, ensuring work is performed in a safe and efficient manner and that areas of responsibility are maintained in a neat and orderly condition. Ensures compliance with company plant and safety rules. Maintains compliance with appropriate federal, State, and local environmental regulations, reports and notifies appropriate plant personnel of any deviations per established standards. Coordinate, direct, and monitor all plant purchasing opportunities. Seek, valuate, and select reliable vendors to provide quality goods/services within time, cost, and operational considerations necessary to operate the plant. Works with corporate and plant resources in developing, monitoring, and instituting programs and procedures for receiving and awarding job bids; ensuring compliance by all parties with established protocols and contract conditions. Prepares purchase orders, sending copy to supplier and department originating request. Place and/or review purchasing orders for accuracy and competitive pricing; verifies bills from suppliers with bids/purchase orders for payment. Works with vendors and suppliers to reconcile and resolve and issues regarding contract terms including but not limited to late deliveries, billing discrepancies, etc. to prevent recurrence. Searches inventory records or warehouse to determine if material, equipment, and parts on hand is in sufficient quantity to maintain operations. Investigates and reconciles any inventory discrepancies. Reviews production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed, or reordered. Ensures proper inventory levels are on hand to maintain operations. Assists in performing inventory cycle counts working to reconcile discrepancies between Maximo and inventory Works with Warehouse Coordinator to receive and unload deliveries, assist plant personnel requisitioning materials, ensuring compliance with appropriate system controls. Works effectively with plant personnel, or other parties as necessary to ensure plant needs are understood and met to support operations. This person will do cycle counts and help with the paperwork. The work will be 70% Office based work with the remaining 30% doing physical inventory/cycle counts which will require walking around the warehouse and in the laydown yards. Must be able to pick up at least 40 pounds. Must be ok sitting and standing for periods at a time. Must have knowledge or computers and Microsoft Excel proficiency. Education/Experience: Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; 1-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer skills Proficiency with Microsoft Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Outlook. Experience with Maximo or similar ERP software system is required. Language Ability to read, analyze, and interpret genera, business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
