Description We are seeking a Systems Administrator to join our team in Irving, Texas. In this role, you will oversee the maintenance and support of our unique Point of Sale (POS) system that drives the entire operation of our retail business. You will also be tasked with managing relationships with IT vendors and identifying potential network or server issues.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and troubleshoot various issues at our retail locations, such as credit card machine failures or printing problems
• Support the unique POS system that drives our entire operation
• Demonstrate a basic understanding of the Windows environment and VPN
• Utilize your knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server in the course of your work
• Manage relationships with IT vendors, including our POS Vendor and MSP
• Identify potential network versus server issues, drawing on your familiarity with routing and switching
• Maintain flexible hours to be on call for IT support, including weekends and after-hours as needed
• Utilize skills in Active Directory, Backup Technologies, Computer Hardware, SonicWall, and Microsoft Windows to ensure smooth operations
• Work effectively in a small office environment, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Systems Administrator role or similar within the retail industry.
• Proficient knowledge and experience with Active Directory.
• Proven experience with Backup Technologies.
• Strong understanding of Computer Hardware.
• Familiarity with SonicWall is required.
