The Lead provides direction and support to the shift team. Drives compliance with standard operating procedures and policies, such as Safety, Quality, GMP, and CPS. May be assigned to one or more of following functions: Production, Maintenance, Warehouse and Quality.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Champions a safety culture, ensures a safe work environment, and promotes safe behavior

 Monitors environment and becomes aware of conditions that may affect employee safety and security; takes corrective action

 Communicates to ensure employees learn and comply with specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company policies

 Prepares training plans and conducts or assigns safety, maintenance, machine operation and quality assurance training to new employees

 Prepares documentation and provides performance feedback to introductory employees

 Provides feedback to plant leaders concerning employee performance and behavior

 Ensures employees have required tools, supplies and area to exercise their duties

Production:

 Operates blow mold machines and other related equipment

 Analyzes charts, work orders, production schedules, and other data to drive production requirements

 Performs and/or assigns personnel to conduct audits, weights and quality checks

 Troubleshoots and resolves process problems and makes minor repairs to blow-mold and support equipment

 Prepares and documents daily production reports, including rejects, regrinds, line efficiencies and other

Maintenance:

 Loads and unloads trucks and secures product in accordance with customer requirements; inspects incoming materials.

 Performs mold, neck tooling, pin and other equipment changes

 Installs, adjusts, and repairs blow mold machines, trimmers, palletizers and other related equipment

 Troubleshoots, locates root problems, and repairs blow mold, baggers and support equipment or PLC programming issues

Warehouse:

 Records shipment data, including weight, charges, and space availability.

 Determines method of shipment by examining items to be shipped, destination, route, rate, and time of shipment

Quality:

 Develops and implements quality related training programs for all employees

 Applies statistical tools and techniques to monitor plant performance and finished goods

 Performs in-process inspections of manufactured product during molding, packaging and loading

Communicates quality issues and out of specifications conditions to plant leaders

 Completes laboratory testing and collects samples at established intervals

Other:

 Group Lead will have responsibility for two or more departments (i.e. Production, Warehouse, etc.). Lead will have

responsibility for one mid-to-large department or a limited number of shift employees.

 Other duties and roles maybe assigned by plant management

Starting Pay Rate:

$25.00

Minimum Requirements:1-3 years experienceHigh School diplomaPreferred Qualifications:Manufacturing ExperienceAssociates degree or equivalent
