Costco Wholesale Corporation is seeking a BI Engineer for its Issaquah, Washington office.
Job Duties: Design and develop reporting solutions in Microsoft Power BI based on business requirements. Design and develop semantic models in Azure Analysis Services for BI and self-service user consumption. Provide expertise in data visualization and graphical report design. Contribute to upgrade and migration projects from legacy to Power BI. Define and follow Power BI development best practices, driving requirements to completion. Maintain and support existing business intelligence software solutions. Incident management and provide proper feedback to end-users regarding reporting system status and/or errors. Telecommuting permitted.
Minimum requirements: Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field. Plus one year of experience in: IBM Cognos; SAP Business Objects; Microsoft Power BI; Report Builder; Azure Synapse; Oracle DB; and SQL Server.
In lieu of a Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field, plus one year of experience as described above, employer will accept three years of experience in: IBM Cognos; SAP Business Objects; Microsoft Power BI; Report Builder; Azure Synapse; Oracle DB; and SQL Server.
