Grant Thornton is seeking a CoE Manager (Ind & Tech) to join the team. Approved office locations can be found below.

As an Events & Sponsorships Manager in our Events & Sponsorship Center of Excellence, you will get the opportunity to lead a team of specialists while providing essential operational support that enables successful marketing events and sponsorship activations across our firm. Working as a "player coach," you'll both execute complex event support initiatives and guide your team to deliver consistent, high-quality service to our marketing stakeholders. Your expertise in event execution, combined with your leadership abilities, will be vital in building strong relationships with field and industry marketers while ensuring seamless execution of our marketing initiatives. From day one, you'll be empowered by our collaborative culture and commitment to excellence to optimize our event support processes while developing your team's capabilities and delivering measurable results.

Your Day-to-Day May Include:

  • Creating standardized approaches to venue selection, registration management, and other critical event support functions

  • Developing service frameworks and SLAs that consistently meet the needs of stakeholders across the organization

  • Establishing and maintaining best practices for event and sponsorship support across all markets and industries

  • Coordinating comprehensive event support across multiple markets or industries, ensuring consistency and quality

  • Managing digital asset libraries and ensuring brand guidelines are consistently applied across all events and sponsorships

  • Implementing process improvements and efficiency measures that enhance the COE's support model

  • Analyzing performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement

  • Leading and developing a team of 3-6 offshore Events & Sponsorships Support Specialists through effective coaching and performance management

  • Monitoring team workload and resource allocation to ensure timely delivery of support services

  • Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders in Field Marketing or Industry Marketing to understand their unique needs and priorities

  • Other duties as assigned

You Have the Following Technical Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related field required

  • 5-7 years of experience in marketing, events management, or related field

  • 2+ years of experience managing teams, preferably including remote or offshore resources

  • For Industry focus: Demonstrated knowledge of one or more priority industries (Financial Services, Professional Services, Construction, Tourism/Leisure/Hospitality, Private Equity)

  • Proficiency with CRM systems, marketing automation platforms, and event management tools

  • Strong project management skills with ability to oversee multiple complex initiatives simultaneously

  • Excellent people management capabilities with focus on coaching and skills development

  • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Effective communication and relationship-building abilities across diverse stakeholder groups

  • Analytical mindset with ability to translate data into actionable insights

  • Adaptability and agility in responding to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Can travel as needed

The base salary range for this position in the firm’s Chicago, IL, Downers Grove, IL, Denver, CO and Baltimore, MD offices only is between $96,000 and $144,000 per year.

The base salary range for this position in the firm’s Washington, DC, Bellevue, WA, Los Angeles, CA, Newport Beach, CA San Diego, CA, and New York, NY offices only is between $103,700 and $155,500 per year.

The base salary range for this position in the firm’s San Francisco, CA and San Jose, CA offices only is between $110,400 and $165,600 per year
