Required Skills

• Responsibilities include full life cycle management of DB2 mainframe databases from analysis through decommissioning. Additionally, the Individual will be involved in DB2-related z/Os Database initiatives, including DB2 Database Universal Tablespace conversions, Image Copy Backup Remediation, Data replication, Db2 RACF support, and Db2 Version 13 migration.Day-to-day activities would include:Develop REXX programs to support Database and JIRA activitiesDevelop and implement a Recovery strategy to support Cyber MRA activitiesSupport the Db2DBA team with database maintenance¿Conduct information-sharing meetings with the application teams when requestedMonitoring and addressing items on exception reports to ensure a stable production environment¿Performance tuning support and recommendations for database calls, in cooperation with the application development teamSupport of product upgrades related to DB2 upgrade and replication providing a focal communication point for development teams as well as completing owned DBA remediation activities, executing internal verification processes, conducting assessments of new features/functions, and providing recommendations for useSupport RACF initiatives and support the application teamaddressingDb2access issues¿¿Position requires in-depth Mainframe DB2 DBA (DB2 on Z/oS) knowledgeAn individual should have a minimum of 7-9 years of DB2 DBA experience on z/Os at a single large financial institutionIn-depth working knowledge of JCL and ISPFWorking knowledge of QREP and CDC is a plusExperience with DB2 Utilities including IBM and BMCWorking knowledge of BMC tools including change manager, catalog manager, Main view, and SQL performanceSolid understanding of DB2 recovery optionsBroad understanding of ACF2 and RACF2 managed security for DB2 AccessWorking knowledge of EndeavorWorking knowledge of JIRAWorking Knowledge of Slunk a plusREXX programmingPython programming is a plusStrong Verbal and Written Communication skills
