Position Summary

Responsible for supporting the design and development of new products; for interacting with customers, vendors, and internal departments, all of which are essential to achieving our goal of on-time delivery and high-quality products. Additionally, supports PTFE extrusion area with production challenges, CIPs, and process improvements.

Principal Responsibilities

• Review, complete, and/or approve customer specifications and other customer documents as required.

• Develop BOMs, Routers, Inspection & Manufacturing Documents, etc. as needed to support New Product creation.

• Initiate, process, and review Engineering Change Notices.

• Provide support to manufacturing, marketing, and customer service as it relates to New Products & Paste.

• Assist with costing structures for Technical sales for new products or revisions that affect product costing.

• Assist with writing, reviewing, and performing PVP, IQ, OQ, PQ and TMV as required for new products.

• Adhere to project plans and schedules.

• Assist in creation of product specifications.

• Complete work in compliance with GMP and ISO regulations, and within safety guidelines.

• Participate in meetings & calls with customers where technical knowledge of all manufacturing capabilities can be effectively communicated and discussed.

• Assist with PTFE production challenges/issues, resolving in a timely manner.

• Pursue and implement solutions that contribute to CIP Goals and improve production of PTFE extrusions/heat shrink.

• Assist with PTFE extrusion/expansion Engineering Projects, Engineering Studies, and Validations as necessary.

• Assist with Injection Molding new product process development as necessary.

Education / Experience Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• BS Engineering field (Mechanical & Plastics preferred).

• General knowledge of Plastics/Polymers required.

• General knowledge of Injection Molding, Extrusion, and other heat forming plastics processes.

• General knowledge of validation processes.

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

• Good working knowledge of manufacturing processes preferred.

• Proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint.

• SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Minitab experience preferred.

• Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills.

• Strong ability to multi-task, prioritize and adapt to shifting priorities.

• Exceptional problem solving and decision making skills and the ability to think independently.

• Familiar with FDA regulation, GMP practices, and QSR requirements.

• Ability to rely heavily on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

• Experience with MS Project or gantt chart planning preferred.
