Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Design Management Director to join our team and support our client on a high-profile project. The Design management Director will play a pivotal role in providing strategic direction and oversight for the design aspects of the project and will collaborate closely with the client, design teams, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of the project.
What You'll Be Doing:
Lead and manage the design team to develop and execute the design strategy and vision for the project.
Collaborate with our client and project stakeholders to understand project goals, requirements, and expectations.
Oversee the design development process, ensuring alignment with project objectives, budget, and schedule.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors to review design deliverables and ensure compliance with specifications and industry standards.
Provide guidance and support to resolve design-related issues, conflicts, and challenges throughout the project lifecycle.
Monitor and track design progress, risks, and opportunities, and provide regular updates to the client and project management team.
Facilitate design workshops, meetings, and presentations to communicate project status, updates, and design solutions.
Foster a collaborative and innovative design environment, encouraging creativity and excellence within the design team.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor’s in engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 25 years of experience in design management, preferably in the construction industry with a focus on cultural and performing arts facilities.
Proven track record of successfully managing complex design projects from inception to completion.
Proficiency in project management software and tools.
