Actalent QC Analytical Technician in Jessup, Maryland

Job Title: QC Analytical TechnicianJob Description

This position will work on the Quality Control (QC) team testing samples and will also be cross-trained on milling inspection and mixing inspection for spices and seasonings. The candidate will perform required analysis of ingredients, in-process, and finished product materials, ensuring products are compliant with internal standards and specifications, and notifying QC Supervisors of any deviations.

Responsibilities

  • Test samples and perform analyses on ingredients, in-process, and finished product materials.

  • Ensure products comply with internal standards and specifications.

  • Notify QC Supervisors of any deviations from standards.

  • Cross-train on milling inspection and mixing inspection for spices and seasonings.

Essential Skills

  • Knowledge and experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

  • Proficiency in laboratory techniques including pipetting.

  • Understanding of quality control, microbiology, and chemistry principles.

  • Experience with analytical lab testing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.

  • Experience with pipetting.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Work Environment

The work environment is not climate controlled, which means it could be hot or cold depending on the season. The area will be dusty, dirty, and loud, with strong spice smells.
