Multiple positions - Perform and interpret testing and perform laboratory
activities to ensure proficient laboratory care in accordance with state,
federal, and local regulations and current standards of practice. Perform
low, moderate, and high complexity laboratory testing methods along with
phlebotomy, microscopic exams, and any other testing procedures performed
at the facility and off campus as requested. Formulate, interpret, and
implement laboratory policies, procedures, and programs. Maintain
operational reports and records and patient records and communicate with
Laboratory Manager, allied health personnel, physicians, patients,
patient families/ guardians, community resources, and others. Collect
data to implement effective utilization of supplies and coordinate and
collaborate with other resources in planning and providing services, making
recommendations regarding general lab operations. Participate in
orientation, education, training, and implementing new laboratory
techniques, conduct in-services, serve on appropriate committees and
attend classes, in-services, and meetings, as required.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Medical
Technology or Medical Laboratory Science with one year of experience in all
aspects of a laboratory that provided basic knowledge of lab techniques and
methodology and includes ability to assess, direct, and evaluate
laboratory activities; and ASCP MT certification or equivalent.
