Our client, an industry leader in financial services and investment management, has an excellent opportunity for an Application Support Engineer to work on a 12+month contract opportunity. Work will be 100% remote (must live in PST). The Application Support Engineer will be responsible for On-call Production support of Brokerage applications on the cloud. Our ever-evolving technology stack ensures a phenomenal learning culture in the team. You will be encouraged to quickly gain understanding of all the components of our applications and will work with the team to deliver outstanding solutions.
Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Rate: $60 - $80 / hr. w2
Responsibilities:
· Part of a team dedicated to using emerging technologies to create innovative products and services that improve people's financial lives.
· As the innovation engine for our company, we provide expertise on new tools and techniques to the rest of the firm, while also incubating potential new lines of business.
· This role will support a startup investing app within the organization.
· As a member of the team, you will work with teams with a diverse set of skills across product, growth, service, and leadership organizations to devise measurement strategy and deliver insights from diverse data sets.
· The hours for this role are: 7:00am to 3:00pm PST during non-support weeks and 10:00 am to 6:00 pm PST during support weeks.
Experience Requirements:
· Extensive experience in Brokerage application development and support with strong proven understanding of languages like Java/Spring MVC, Node JS, GO
· Experience in microservices architecture & development for cloud
· Extensive experience in performance tuning, monitoring, solving application issues in a EKS infrastructure
· Extensive experience with setting up Application alerting and monitoring in a cloud environment
· Experience handling On-call production support and debugging application issues
· Brokerage back-office systems knowledge would be a plus
· Flexibility and adaptability to learn and support new technologies on the cloud
Education Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
· AWS certifications preferred (AWS SysOps, DevOps)
Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
