RESPONSIBILITIES
JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Supervises the daily operations of the assigned area.
• Works collaboratively with management to insure operations are in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and with the policies and procedures of The Queen’s Health Care Centers (QHCC).
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking.
• Frequent: sitting, repetitive arm/hand motions, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods.
• Occasional: standing, walking, climbing stairs, walking on uneven ground, squatting, twisting body, reaching above, at and below shoulder level. Depending upon area of assignment may lift and/or carry usual weight of 1 pound up to 20 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 20 pounds of force.
• Infrequent: Stooping/bending.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, health care or related field; OR four (4) years experience in any and/or combination of the following: physician’s practice, health clinic operations, medical insurance, physician practice services may substitute for the education requirement.
EXPERIENCE:
• In addition to the educational requirement, two (2) years experience in healthcare, preferably in a physician practice or acute care hospital.
• Experience to demonstrate:
o Demonstrated ability to work effectively with physicians.
o Demonstrated knowledge in third party and government payor and reimbursement regulations, including Medicare/Medicaid program requirements.
• Prior leadership/supervisory experience desirable.
