ManTech is currently seeking an experienced Aviation Maintenance Controller to support the RQ-21 platform at the VMU squadrons.

Aviation Maintenance Controller


Aviation Maintenance Controllers/Safe for Flight are responsible for planning, directing, and controlling the scheduled and unscheduled maintenance functions at the organizational level. They are responsible for aircraft maintenance and aeronautical repair that ensure the unit's combat readiness or ability to perform its mission. They must be able to establish department goals and to develop the plans to meet those goals. A high level of expertise is required to supervise the execution of the various tasks encompassed within the wide spectrum of aviation maintenance matters. They must possess a detailed, working knowledge of all Navy sponsored aviation maintenance programs and processes governed by reference (bo). In addition, Aviation Maintenance Controllers/Safe for Flight must have detailed knowledge of the Optimized Organizational Maintenance Activity Naval Aviation Logistics Command Management Information Systems (OOMA/ NALCOMIS).


  • Minimum of 4-6 years of aviation maintenance experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of specific RQ-21 maintenance experience

  • Minimum of a DoD Secret clearance

Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%

The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
