Aston Carter is working with a nonprofit company in the Kansas City, Missouri area seeking to hire a Bookkeeper! This is a direct hire role that offers a great work environment and long term growth opportunities. Our client is seeking candidates with 3-4 years of payroll and bookkeeping.
Job Description:
Produce Financial records, process invoices, reconciliations, print checks for vendors, bank deposits, maintain state licenses and registration active, assist with internal and external audits
Establishing a chart of accounts
Maintaining subordinate accounts by verifying and allocating transactions
Balancing accounts by reconciling entries making sure that nothing is lost or omitted in between.
Implement clerical duties and administrative processes.
Conduct data entry.
Carry out administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning, etc.
Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports.
Receive, sort, and distribute the mail.
Write letters and emails on behalf of other office staff.
Book conference calls, rooms, taxis, couriers, etc.
Payroll duties and 403b submission every pay period.
Skills & Qualifications:
3-4 years experience in payroll and bookkeeping required
Paylocity experience preferred
Strong Excel and QuickBooks experience
Nonprofit experience preferred but not required
