UMB Bank Investment Manager-Treasury in Kansas City, Missouri

As the Investment Manager-Treasury , you will be responsible for assisting the Corporate Treasurer in the management of the company’s asset/liability management position, net interest margin maximization, liquidity position, and the investment portfolio.

How you will spend your time:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day execution of investment security purchases and sales, conducting and maintaining appropriate pre-purchase documentation related to these activities

  • Takes direction as needed from the Corporate Treasurer working collaboratively with other team members to maintain guidelines set forth by the Asset/Liability Committee

  • Research, analyze and form conclusions on potential fixed income investment opportunities

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure the daily liquidity position is adequate

  • Ensure that pledging needs are met and the collateral management is optimized

  • Raise wholesale funding as needed and provide deposit rate bids for public funds customers

  • Provide investment and liquidity analysis and reporting for UMB Financial Corporation, its' affiliate banks and its' non-bank affiliates to include credit risk analysis, recommendations, and reporting on credit sensitive investment securities

  • Assist with the monthly completion of the Asset Liability Committee (ALCO) meeting packet, and potentially present at those meetings

  • Write monthly ALCO minutes

  • Other duties as assigned.

We’re excited to talk with you if:

  • You have a Bachelor's degree from accredited university in Finance, Accounting, or Economics

  • You have 5+ years direct experience managing a fixed income investment portfolio in a financial institution setting,

  • You are a proficient user of Bloomberg; and bond analytics software packages such as ZM or Yield Book

  • You possess an understanding of economic and interest rate cycles and their influence on investment portfolio management

Compensation Range:

Minimum: $83,200.00 - Maximum: $214,560.00
