The Position
Overview: The Strategic Account Manager (SAM) will support the maternal health device business unit and focus on the strategy realization efforts related to our medical device, which helps control postpartum hemorrhaging (PPH). This leadership role will focus on Integrated Delivery Network (IDN) customers and will be responsible for leading top-down IDN initiatives related to Maternal Health, PPH, and Maternal Morbidity and Mortality.
The SAM collaborates with Perinatal Quality Liaison, Regional Managers, and Territory Account Executives to provide information that encourages IDNs to adopt comprehensive policies and systems to manage PPH and the appropriate use of our medical device. Responsibilities include engaging with C- Suite (Chief Medical Officers, Chief Nursing Officers, Chief of OD), Quality Improvement departments, Informatics, Nursing, and HCP leadership, among others to support appropriate JADA utilization in IDNs.
Furthermore, the SAM will lead contracting discussions with Organized customers in collaboration with the HQ Market Access Team and the National Sales director.
The role involves disseminating product information, supporting perinatal quality initiatives, and working with Organon's PQLs, Regional Managers, and Territory Account Managers to manage relationships with integrated delivery networks and other health entities as designated by HQ.
Key Responsibilities:
IDN Relationship Development: Identify key stake holders within assigned accounts and build relationships with Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs) around the utilization of the maternal health device to address maternal morbidity and mortality.
Contracting Strategy: Lead the development and execution of contracting strategies with IDNs, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
Business Reviews: Conduct regular business reviews with key customers to assess performance, identify opportunities, and drive continuous improvement.
Account Team Collaboration: Collaborate with account team members and regional managers to align regional objectives and IDN strategies.
Algorithm and Protocol Development Education: Educate on the development of clinical algorithms, protocols, standing orders, bundle tool kits, and EMR updates within IDNs.
Consultative Sales: Act as a consultative partner to identify account goals and create long-term value through tailored solutions.
Policy and Society Engagement: Work with societies and policy makers to drive adoption of healthcare policies and standards.
Customer Collaboration: Work with customers to assess current postpartum hemorrhage (PPH) best practices and educate on policy, protocol, and standing orders development.
Ideal Candidate Qualities:
Required:
IDN Account Management Experience: Proven track record in managing Integrated Delivery Networks.
Executive Presence: Strong executive presence with the ability to influence and engage senior-level stakeholders.
Team Leadership: Experience in leading and collaborating with internal account team members.
Consultative Approach: Ability to take a consultative approach to sales, identifying customer goals and creating value through tailored solutions.
KOL Development: Develop and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) within the assigned IDNs.
Compliance Acumen: Strong understanding of compliance-related concepts including the laws and regulations that govern device marketing and sales activities.
Preferred:
Our Medical Device Clinical Experience: Previous experience with our device or similar maternal health products.
Contracting/Negotiations Skills: Expertise in contracting and negotiations, with a focus on achieving mutually beneficial agreements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic account management, preferably within the healthcare industry.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct cost analysis and develop quality initiatives.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Location: Near Major Airport (75% Travel Required)
The Mountain Territory includes: Texas, OK, NM, Kansas, Nebraska, CO, West VA, Montana, Idaho, Missouri and Western Louisiana. The selected candidate must be local to this territory.

$138,200.00 - $234,900.00
