Data Governance SFA (Senior Financial Analyst)
Supporting Global Data Governance and Process Improvement
This position reports into the Global Data Governance Manager and is based in Bangalore. You will be part of a global data governance team, working to establish and maintain high data quality standards across multiple environments, including product and customer data dimensions.

What will you do
The Data Governance SFA
is responsible for supporting the global Data Governance team in ensuring the quality and consistency of key master data, including Product, Customer, and other master data dimensions. Your key responsibilities include managing both the run state and project state processes related to master data, providing expertise to resolve data quality issues, and contributing to data-driven decision-making processes.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth execution of data maintenance processes, enhance the design and use of master data tools, and support ad-hoc finance and data-related projects.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Global Data Governance team in establishing and maintaining global data standards for Product, Customer, and other master data dimensions.
Manage the intake process for master data, mappings, and hierarchies across different environments.
Analyze master data for quality issues and collaborate with teams to resolve defects.
Support project requirements by testing and validating technology design, data inputs, and outputs.
Maintain comprehensive documentation, including Data Standards, Data Dictionary, Process Flows, Desktop Procedures (DTPs), and Work Instructions (WIs).
Assist in designing, testing, and enhancing master data Workflow Tools.
Create training materials and conduct training sessions for data representatives across teams.
Support ad-hoc finance and data-related projects and continuously improve existing processes.
Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for the data objects in scope and address ad-hoc user queries.
Qualifications
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications
A minimum of a Bachelors degree, preferably in finance, accounting, business, or a related field.
At least 7 years of experience in finance, supply chain, SAP/DataHub, or master data.
Proficiency in Excel (including Pivot tables, V-lookups) and SharePoint is required.
Experience with data quality rule creation, maintenance, and remediation.
Familiarity with data mappings, hierarchies, and flow between environments is preferred.
Experience with Microsoft Visio is a plus.
Ability to manage deadlines and excel in a fast-paced environment.
Strong business partnerships and experience in ad-hoc analysis are essential.
