Introduction:

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic professional who will lead Operations Quality & Training for Global Fab Engineering Services (GFES) Bangalore (BLR) team. This individual is expected to drive standardization and sharing of best practices across the fabs to improve the operations quality. This individual will collaborate with internal and external parties with the ultimate goal of hiring and developing talent pool in order to satisfy the increasing demand for talent. This individual will focus on designing and supporting long- and short-term training activities to enhance employee skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive standardization and proliferation of best practices across the Fabs for functions supported out of BLR

  • Collaborate with team leaders to identify opportunities and drive efficiency improvement projects

  • Collaborate with Human Resources, Talent Acquisition and L&OD teams to develop and coordinate talent pipeline initiatives such as apprenticeships, NCG hiring, internships, and other key pipeline sources

  • Partner with business to identify strategies to meet talent needs and/or to satisfy demands

  • Review all available training programs including those designed by GF L&OD team, GFES BLR team, Fab teams, and external institutes and create a structured training program for team members based on their background and job requirements

  • Benchmark to other tech companies or University programs to drive new ideas/ implementation

  • Track talent yield and effectiveness of programs, diverting resources and effort to high priority programs

  • Technical training would involve various aspects of semiconductor manufacturing including process flow and equipment, electrical test characterization, yield/sort analysis, defect monitoring and process integration

  • Training should also include understanding of statistics, DOE techniques, data driven decision-making and systematic problem-solving skills

  • Develop a positive team atmosphere and high morale in the group to meet Fab goals. Set a culture of respect, accountability, ownership and proactiveness

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs

Required Qualifications:

  • BS or MS Degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Solid State Physics, or related discipline. Formal degree in Business or Organizational management is a plus

  • Minimum of 10 years of wafer fab experience in Process Integration, Yield Engineering or Module Engineering. Minimum 5 years in Leadership/ Management or a role requiring significant leadership by influence

  • Experience managing large people related projects/ initiatives, Excellent project & program management capabilities

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate well (written and verbal) with all levels within and outside the organization and experience in working with global teams

  • Needs to be self-motivated and proactive with a continuous improvement mindset
