We’re looking for a qualified Certified Medical Assistant like you to join our Texas Health family at our Cardiac and Vascular Center of North Texas.

Work location: 10840 Texas Health Trail, Suite 260, Keller, TX
Travel to Grapevine & Arlington clinics as needed
Work environment: Not all medical clinics have highly experienced cardiovascular physicians and the latest technologies to diagnose and treat heart disease, but we do. For more than 25 years, Cardiac and Vascular Center of North Texas has been dedicated to the heart health of North Texans.
Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday thru Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
Salary range: $14.80 - $21.47 per hour (based on relevant experience)
$5,000 sign-on bonus for eligible CMAs (eligible upon hire with a signed retention agreement)
Texas Health Physicians Group (THPG) is a not-for-profit physician organization with more than 250 locations and 800 physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants dedicated to providing quality care in clinics and medical offices throughout North Texas.
High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
1 year of previous Medical Assistant experience within a clinic setting (strongly preferred)
Current Medical Assistant Certification (required)
ACLS or BLS (preferred)
Non-Certified Radiologic Technician training (may be required)
Position Responsibilities THPG Certified Medical Assistants are responsible for the delivery of patient care that promotes the safety and well-being of all patients, demonstrating excellent customer service while rooming patients, obtaining chief complaint and vitals, handling of specimens, charting visit information and performing injections as needed. You may also be responsible for some administrative tasks on an as-needed basis.
In addition to the required qualifications, a successful CMA will
have the ability to work well in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment
have the ability to perform EKGs, draw blood and administer injections as needed
be able to effectively communicate with both staff and patients and have thorough knowledge of the meaning and use of medical terminology and abbreviations
demonstrate sound judgement in emergency situations, as well as take appropriate action in urgent circumstances
maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude toward patients
possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism
have basic computer skills using Medical management application systems
