Job Description Summary Operate Pea Harvest equipment and/or tractor. The position is seasonal. Late May to mid-July Job Description * Operates harvesters, tractors and tractor-drawn machinery for all phases of harvesting operations. * Fills out work sheets as needed. * Cleans and maintains equipment per Lamb Weston Food Safety Policy * Performs routine duties with minimal supervision. * Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to Supervisor and/or Human Resources * Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals. * Perform other duties as assigned. Basic & Preferred Qualifications Education/ Certifications: (Required & Preferred) * Valid state issued Driver License Skills and Experience: * Basic verbal communication skills * No experience required. Physical Environment/Demands: * Some travel may be required (75% of time if significant) * Incumbents may sit for long periods of time in a pea combine. * While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. * Stooping, bending, twisting and reaching may be required in completion of job duties. [[Typical Plant Role Examples]] * Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently. * Exposed to a noisy environment that varies from hot to cold in temperature. * Ability to do repetitious arm, wrist and hand movements required for job actions and procedures. * Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead, and to work in or under the equipment. * Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination and good balance to work both at ground level and in high places to perform job duties.Ability to operate work related equipment. * Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
