JOB REQUIREMENTS: The Education Coordinator is a full time, professional
delivery of service position responsible for providing educational
content area expertise for all of KAC\'s early childhood programs. This
position seeks to strengthen the programs through the coordination and
oversight of all of educational activities. TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 1.
Establishes and maintains professional relationships with families,
volunteers and agency personnel. 2. Assists in the professional
development of direct service staff by providing one on one coaching and
training as it relates to early child development. 3. Demonstrates
flexibility and versatility to changing needs. 4. Demonstrates
creativity and innovation in generating new ideas and implementation
methods. 5. Meets all Early Head Start performance standards. 6. Travels
to off-site locations for the provision of services. 7. Responsible for
the safety of all staff members and persons served under this
position\'s supervision. 8. Complete assigned Strategic Action Plan and
work activities and Annual Growth Plan. 9. Develops a habit of constant
professional skill development. 10. Assists with the Program Assessments
and planning. 11. Plans and implements comprehensive training for
parents, staff, and community partners related to parenting and early
childhood development. 12. Responsible for the monitoring, tracking,
development and implementation of the program\'s school readiness goals.
13. May provide home visits as needed for program compliance. 14.
Participate in required amount & type of staff development activity as
specified by annual staff performance plan including engaging in a
process of continuously improving cultural proficiency and the ability
to work with a diverse population. 15. Perform other duties as assigned
by supervisor. OCCASIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Provides direct services.
2. Performs housekeeping tasks as needed. The duties listed above are

QUALIFICATIONS: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor\'s degree in early
child development, or an equivalent degree relating to early childhood
education development. Minimum of 3 years of experience working with
infants/toddlers and their families and demonstrated experience
providing training is required. Must have a valid driver\'s license,
clean driving record and insurance Must have a vehicle that KAC
determines is in good working order Knowledge of cultural and linguistic
competency principles and the ability to work effectively with a
culturally diverse staff, participants and stakeholders PREFERRED
QUALIFICATIONS: Possess the ability to communicate in another language,
ex. Spanish or Sign. Be familiar utilizing computer programs and
keyboarding. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are
