We also offer a \$1.00 per hour shift differential for both 2nd and 3rd shift. If you have a CDL, we offer another \$0.65 per hour. You will have the potential to earn \$31.60 per hour. We also offer a \$1000 tool allowance, \$100 boot allowance, a quarterly safety bonus and a generous Profit Sharing plan on top of our 401k match. Minimum requirements: You must be 18 years of age or older (required) Valid, unrestricted state-issued driver\'s license (required) Diesel tractor trailer experience preferred Ability to communicate in English (required) - writing, speaking, and reading Physical requirements include lifting up to 100 pounds Position Summary: Repairs and maintains all heavy tractor, trailer, refrigeration units, and converter dolly units. A technician at the Apprentice (entry) level is just beginning a career in heavy vehicle maintenance and repair. Apprentice technicians may be capable, but are limited to the most basic diagnosis and repairs. Direct supervision and training are required at this level. (GFS expects employees hired at this level to progress to the Skilled level technician.) A technician at the Skilled (basic skill) level requires less supervision direction and/or assistance to make typical GFS diagnosis and repairs. Any diagnosis or repair made by a Skilled technician may need to be reviewed and/or inspected by a supervisor or a mentoring Master technician.
