Propulsion Test Engineer
Kent, WA
Contract Position
$53.10/Hour - $64.25/Hour

Responsibilities:
* Design, plan, and execute test procedures to e Save valuate system and component performance, functionality, and reliability.
* Develop and document test plans, procedures, and reports in compliance with engineering standards and customer requirements.
* Conduct hands-on testing of hardware and software, analyzing and troubleshooting issues to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality, to ensure test requirements are met.
* Utilize data acquisition systems, instrumentation, and automated test equipment to collect, analyze, and interpret test data.
* Monitor testing progress, ensure accuracy, and deliver clear, detailed test results to stakeholders.
* Support the setup and maintenance of test equipment, fixtures, and tools.
* Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize test processes and enhance efficiency.
Qualifications:
* Education: B.S. degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a relevant field.
* Experience:
* 1+ years of experience in component testing and data analysis.
* Exposure to the operation, testing, or production of high-pressure gas, cryogenic, actuated, and/or hydraulic systems.
* Successfully managed simultaneous project schedules in a production or operational environment.
* Skills:
* Strong work ethic with high attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
* Strong written, interpersonal, and computer skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at both the executive leadership level and on the shop floor.
* Production mindset, focused on scaling operations for rate-manufacturing.
* Passion: Demonstrated enthusiasm for spaceflight and space exploration.
* Eligibility: Must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident (Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted as a refugee or asylee.
Desired Qualifications:
* Applicable industry experience (e.g., launch vehicles, satellites, aircraft, motorsports, oil & gas).
* Knowledge of fluid components such as valves, regulators, actuators, servo-valves, and fittings.
* Experience with sensors and instrumentation (e.g., pressure transducers, accelerometers), data acquisition, and automation systems.
* Familiarity with precision clean hardware and systems.
* Experience with thermal and vibration testing.
* Experience in designing and fabricating test fixturing and tooling.
Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday (6:00am - 2:30pm)
