Quality & Contin Improvement III

Contract Position
Responsibilities:
* Monitoring and assessing processes that guide Blue Origin design, manufacture, and operations.
* Ensure system safety engineering, environmental health and safety, product integrity and continuous improvement processes serve the Blue Origin Mission and Vision.
* Develop and execute commercial quality processes for the design, test and manufacture of engines.
* Responsible for implementing quality initiatives that will support development and low rate engine production.
* Solve sophisticated problems and providing operable solutions; act with minimal direction and take ownership; and be adaptable as we work on a variety of applications and systems.
* Establish, implement, maintain, and carry out quality system processes that support products in development and production environments
* Measure, analyze, and improve quality system performance consistent with organization quality goals
* Integrate quality system applications between engineering, manufacturing, and operations to ensure the consistent and ongoing use of quality best practices and communication of quality issues
* Review and approve manufacturing build documents including work orders and nonconformance records.
* Perform periodic audits of the application of our quality system in accordance with AS9100
* Participate in engineering design reviews and make recommendations to improve the quality and manufacturability of new designs
* Recommend initiatives and/or changes that will improve product and system quality
* Provide quality assurance domain expertise to inspection, manufacturing and test for the Additive Manufacturing team
* Collaborate with internal and external customers on quality related concerns
* Develop and present training materials to build quality awareness
Qualifications:
* B.S. in engineering/science or American Society of Quality, Certified Quality Engineer certification 4+ years' proven experience in the engineering field with at least 3 years in a quality engineer role Quality Assurance experience in production environment.
* Aerospace, space launch, or military or commercial aviation preferred Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO9000
* Quality Management System and/or related quality systems and programs
* Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion
* Must be a U.S. citizen or national.
* U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
* Desired Skills:
* Engine Assembly QMS knowledge - AS9100 Transitioning products from development to production Maintenance,
* Repair and Overhaul of aircraft or aircraft engines
