PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

JM DeLullo Stone Sales Inc., owns and operates construction and landscape sales yards. The manger oversees all aspects of the sale yard and is accountable for the safe, efficient, profitable operation of the yard.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Appearance of Yard and Products

    

Main Activities:

• Ensure that all displays are kept in a clean, complete, inviting appearance

Showroom ready at all times

• Ensure all products are organized, free of debris and contamination at all times
• Ensure that all products, displays, samples, and handouts are kept up to date and stored in a neat organized manner.

• Ensure the proper levels of inventory of all products at all times

   

2.  Equipment & Facilities Maintenance

Main Activities:

• Ensure that all equipment is maintained to company standards at all times.

• Ensure that all buildings shall be maintained and kept up to company standards at all times. Clean, neat, and orderly

   

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Knowledge

The qualified candidate should have proficient knowledge in the following areas:

• Competent working knowledge of all products sold at all times
• Proactive in understanding all possible applications of all products as well as gaining understanding of potential uses that may be unknown.
• Basic principles in accounting and inventory management

• General knowledge of computer operating systems

   

Skills

The qualified candidate must demonstrate the following skills:

• Decisive safe decision making skills
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Excellent, accurate communication with other members in company.

• Ability to work in a fast pace environment.

• Ability to continually educate themselves of current and new products that work well in JM DeLullo Stone Sales business model
• Ability to continually evaluate the product and manufactures performance of all products we sell.

• Ability to learn the safe operation of heavy equipment

Physical Demands

Yard manager will be responsible for ensuring all customer's needs are met. Job duties will require operation of heavy equipment including forklifts, loaders, and dump trucks. Position will also require heavy lifting of products on a daily basis.

Environmental Conditions

The yard manager will be working in an outdoor environment year around.

CUSTOMER SERVICE AND APPEARANCE

• The yard manager must ensure superior service to all customers in the safest, fastest, and most economical way possible.
• Yard manager must ensure that all staff is working in a professional safe manner and following all company policies.
• Yard manager shall ensure effectiveness in the company's desire to provide products and solutions to ALL customers.
• Yard managers shall have the authority to resolve any and all customer disputes as well as any issues with manufactures. It is recommended that any such disputes be discussed with upper management or ownership prior to resolution when possible.
