Description

We are excited to offer a contract to permanent role for a Staff Accountant, designed for individuals passionate about maintaining accurate financial records and contributing to a dynamic organization. This essential position centers on key accounting functions, including financial statement preparation, fixed asset management, and cross-departmental support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Efficiently process and monitor both accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

  • Conduct bank reconciliations, ensuring alignment between company cash accounts and bank balances.

  • Prepare financial statements and assist with governmental reporting requirements, such as completing census reports.

  • Provide support with the administration of the 401(k) Program as needed.

  • Manage and update fixed asset depreciation and loan amortization schedules.

  • Deliver analytical and technical assistance to other departments within the company.

  • Coordinate and prepare for audits, maintaining compliance and readiness.

  • Perform credit checks for prospective customers and set up new vendors within the company's accounting system.

  • Handle worker compensation premium reporting and perform business tax filings to maintain regulatory compliance.

  • Communicate directly with banking institutions and insurance providers whenever necessary.

  • Assist with the implementation and maintenance of internal financial controls and accounting procedures.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations

• Familiarity with General Ledger management

• Ability to manage and track Journal Entries

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with Sage Accounting Software

• Ability to prepare Monthly Financial Statements

• Skill in calculating figures and amounts for all bookkeeping, payroll, budgeting, etc.

• Experience handling Multiple Vendors

• Ability to approve credit applications and transactions

• Experience in Audit - Financial; proficient in conducting financial audits.
