Hours Full-time, indicate working hours - Mon - Thur 7:30am - 5:30pm Fri 7:30-11:30am
Summary of Position
Performs Pension Plan Administration and accounting functions for the CTC pension plans. The incumbent compiles and reconciles multiple reports and provides information and support for the annual external audit.
Minimum Required Education
Associate’s degree from a regionally or nationally accredited institution of higher education.
Prefer 15 semester hours of accounting courses and/or experience supporting employee retirement/pension plans.
Minimum Required Experience
Two years of full-time wage-earning experience in benefits, payroll or accounting, preferably in a college or university system required.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
High attention to detail including the ability to generate, critique, and verify large data files;
Strong demonstrated customer service skills and capable of interacting with personnel at all levels,
Working knowledge of employee benefits to include investments, retirement, pension plans, and social security and Medicare benefits;
Ability to review/reconcile financial statements and related investment reports;
Proficient with various types of office equipment;
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Possess organizational skills;
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel software;
Proficient in the use of computerized databases and reporting tools;
Ability to maintain confidentiality of all information.
Self-starter, able to monitor and coordinate tasks through to the last detail,
Ability to work effectively under deadlines,
Ability to develop an increasing familiarity with pension plan documents and requirements; including guidelines defined by the IRS / IRC , federal and state legislation the Social Security Administration, and any other governing body
