Description Build your career in accounting with Robert Half, now offering a permanent position for an experienced Staff Accountant that has a knack for problem-solving and enjoys new challenges. In this position, the Staff Accountant prepares journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliation. Throughout the monthly close, you will also be responsible for various aspects of internal reporting. You will lend your skills in assisting the development and implementation of accounting policies. Also, you will participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules for the reporting processes. This role is very integrated as it plays a part in the production of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. Responsibilities
Upon request, take part in special projects and impromptu reporting
Arrange schedules for capital lease and monthly payments
Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process, which includes monthly financial close workbook preparation
Assist in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
Manage intercompany reconciliation, billings, and transactions
Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for management reporting
In-depth experience with reconciling month end balance sheet accounts
Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll
Oversee depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation
Regular maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries
Compose journal entries and conduct the month end close with minimal supervision
Partake in various department-wide initiatives
Organize and review various financial data, then report it in a manner that is useful and understandable
