Job Functions / Responsibilities
Establish and maintain information (option codes, costs, prices, weights, descriptions, Data Book pages) for a specific group of options.
Maintain all relevant option data in the Option Management System (OMS).
Identify part numbers and bills of material appropriate for calculating the cost and price of a given option.
Provide data analysis and recommendations to support pricing initiatives.
Create relationships with suppliers relevant to the assigned group of options and with internal representatives from Marketing, Engineering, and Corporate Purchasing.
Coordinate release of pricing information with Engineering and Marketing for new product introductions.
Respond to requests for unpublished option prices.
Support pricing activities, including cost estimation, content management and ad hoc analysis.
Qualifications & Skills
B.S./B.A. degree in engineering, accounting or business administration required
1+ years industry-related experience
Analytical abilities with attention to detail
Knowledge of truck components, engineering release, bills of material preferred
Capability to analyze ambiguous and complex information and make sound business decisions
Demonstrated working knowledge of Word, Excel, Access, and CMS-80 or other similar business system.
