Position Title

Registration and Records Coordinator

Job Responsibilities

The Registrars Office supports Truman State Universitys past, current, and future students by providing dependable, friendly, and efficient service in the areas of registration, records, and evaluation. We protect the integrity of the University through fair and consistent application of the academic rules and regulations established by the faculty, administration, state, and federal government.

  • Manage the production, distribution, and reconciliation of transcript orders.
  • Manage enrollments in study abroad trips in coordination with the International Student Office.
  • Manage office processes including but not limited to withdrawals, appeals, overloads, grade changes, assignment of attributes, advisor changes, address verification, lawful presence, and enrollment verifications.
  • Verify assessment of enrollment fees and process fee adjustments.
  • Coordinate the oversight and use of the Banner Document Management System, completeSMARTtraining, and maintain records per the university retention policy.
  • Work as the initial point of contact with faculty, staff, and students.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree or at least three years of work experience in higher education from which equivalent knowledge skills and abilities can be acquired.
  • Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and email software.
  • Evidence of oral and written communication skills, interpersonal and customer service skills, leadership skills, and organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • History of dependability, reliability, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with frequent interruptions.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as part of a team.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of records.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree or five years of higher education work experience with college and registrar-related processes.
  • Experience using Ellucians Banner software.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
  • Experience in or with military service or benefits.
