Custodial Services Coordinator

Work Mode: Onsite

Location: Onsite at Kohler, WI

Opportunity

Ensure proper custodial operational methods and procedures are being met and quality standards are exceeded. Provide feedback to contracted after hours custodians.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

•Strong written and speaking skills; must communicate with others to convey information effectively and graciously to our internal and external customers. Possess the ability to adapt to special requests.

•Responsible for maintaining quality physical standards (safety and cleanliness) of the facility. Keep equipment maintained for optimal performance.

•Continually evaluate methods, supplies and equipment needs. Make appropriate suggested changes to KDC management.

•Must be dependable; this job requires being reliable, responsible, dependable and to full obligations to our internal and external customers.

•Help develop cleaning methods for optimum efficiency and quality.

•Coordinate supply ordering through Kohler Maintenance Store.

•Physically able to perform duties which require flexibility, lifting, stretching, etc. and utilization of specialized equipment (floor cleaners, vacuum, etc.).

•Must be a team player who enjoys a challenge. Works under their own initiative and at times under stress.

•Open building daily; complete all daily opening tasks in an efficient and timely manner.

•Launch external/internal vendors while they are onsite completing maintenance tasks or readying the space for the occasional photo/video shoot.

•Complete maintenance tasks as needed; touch up painting, changing light bulbs, fixture/faucet display repair, replacing external flags, etc.

•Fill out maintenance work requests for work orders beyond scope of expertise.

•Schedule and follow through on public area cleaning and floor maintenance.

•Keep associates informed of all new or changed maintenance policies and procedures.

•Train contracted day porters on opening procedures, daily dayside maintenance tasks as well as other KDC operational procedures and policies.

•Fully knowledgeable of personnel procedures and their role as it relates to policies and procedures.

Skills/Requirements

  • High School Diploma required

  • Candidate must have the ability to lift 25+ pounds and tolerate being on their feet for the majority of their shift.

  • Strong customer service orientation, prior experience a plus

  • Self-motivated

  • Confident conversationalist

  • Adept at using Outlook, MS Word and MS Excel

  • High level of detail; ability to prioritize your work and have excellent time management

  • Prior Kohler product knowledge preferred

Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

The hourly range for this position is $21.45 - $26.80. The specific hourly rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
