Supervises scheduled and unscheduled maintenance repair of pre-engineered humidity-controlled metal storage buildings that have air and watertight roll up doors. May also be required to supervise maintenance on hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic security barriers. The selected individual will be responsible for, but not limited to ensuring compliance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS) for the following functions: security barrier electrical systems, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, mechanical systems and electronic control stations. Provides leadership and mentors junior personnel to develop appropriate skillsets. Addresses customer facility maintenance concerns in a prompt, professional and courteous manner. Uses provided Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to correctly input data related to maintenance work orders, preventative maintenance inspections, and emergency/urgent customer requests. Ensures personnel correctly capture data on maintenance work order requests and preventative maintenance inspection forms for upload into Maximo. #clearance

Analyzes deficiencies in equipment and supervises necessary repairs
Inspects equipment and as necessary, conducts repairs or replaces faulty components using a variety of hand tools and equipment
Completes mechanical repairs or improvements on a variety of processes, equipment, fixtures, and unit operations
Provides technical/operational guidance to ensure compliance with the PWS while delivering desired results
Participates in the preventive and corrective maintenance programs
Evaluates maintenance requests, sets priorities, and processes work assignments
Inspects and tests facility components for proper operation IAW manufacturer’s specifications
Inspects hydraulic systems for wear, leaks and proper fluid level IAW manufacturer’s specifications
Working with sheet metal parts; repairs and installs hydraulic, pneumatic parts and systems
Changes bearings, sprockets, chains, belts, shafts, cylinders, and other interchangeable components
Guides technicians in the performance of basic pipefitting, plumbing, threading, and layout
Provides reports on maintenance, safety and quality issues
Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
Must be a U.S. Citizen
A valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a U. S. Government Motor Vehicle Operator’s License and host nation Driver’s License, is required.
Education/Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
Industry and trade certifications are required
Specific training in the operation of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Experience:
4-7 years of mechanical maintenance experience
4-5 years of experience planning, laying out, and installing electrical distribution systems
Working knowledge of electrical systems including secondary distribution and interior systems
Hands-on experience with electrical circuits, power cables, controls, and motors
Ability to read blueprints, single-line diagrams, and rough shop drawings
Must possess strong knowledge in a skilled trade (electrical, pneumatic, plumbing, etc.)
Knowledge of U.S. Army Safety Guidelines and OSHA Standards preferred
Skills:
Requires ability to analyze the operation of various infrastructure systems, determine the cause of malfunctions, and take corrective actions as required
Strong leadership and analytical skills
Effective communication, organizational, interpersonal and people management skills
Mastery of engineering skills
SUPERVISORY/BUDGET RESPONSIBILITIES:
Will have direct oversight of junior technicians and subcontracted personnel when they are on site
Working Conditions:
Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, duty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months).
Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.
Physical Requirements:
Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.
Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
