Leo O'Laughlin Inc. located at 499 North 4th Street, Shelbina, MO 63467, (573) 588-4151 is seeking 14 temporary full-time Ready Mix Concrete and heavy haul drivers to work at 26733 135th Avenue CR 233 LaBelle, MO LEWIS 63447, and North Missouri nonmetropolitan area from 04/01/2024 to 12/31/2024 to Operate ready-mix trucks and move ready mix and construction material to work sites. Drivers required to clean and maintain trucks including performing daily safety inspection of trucks, checking and refilling fuel and other fluid levels daily, performing minor maintenance on vehicles. Complete paperwork on loads hauled and turn in daily. MUST BE ABLE TO PASS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION PHYSICAL. MUST BE ABLE TO LIFT AND CARRY 40 LBS 30 FEET. CLASS B LICENSE REQUIRED, CLASS A OR INTERNATIONAL COMMERCIAL DRIVER'S LICENSE EQUIVALENT PREFERRED. GOOD DRIVING RECORD AND DRIVING SKILLS REQUIRED. MUST BE 21 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER. MUST PASS PRE-EMPLOYMENT DRUG AND ALCOHOL TESTING. MUST BE ABLE TO HANDLE TEMPERATURE EXTREMES. WILL TRAVEL FROM BATCH PLANT TO WORK SITES. No prior education or experience is required. On the job, training will be provided. $21.87/hr. Approx. 40 hours/week, from Monday to Friday 7:00am - 4:00pm. Applicants may be offered higher than the advertised. The wage rate may vary on experience and/or merit. $32.81/hr for overtime. Some hours of overtime may be available but not guaranteed. All deductions from the workers paycheck will be made as required by law. The employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages and pay Bi-weekly by check. Any advances will be deducted with the consent of the employee. The employer will provide housing as an option to employees living outside the regular commuting distance. Employees who elect to live in the housing will have an additional $300 deducted per Bi-weekly paycheck for rent and utilities. Optional daily transportation will be provided from and to worksite and the employer will deduct $50/biweekly. In the first workweek, the cost of transportation (including meals and to the extent necessary, lodging) to the place of employment will be directly reimbursed to every worker. If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the workers reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a workers voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. In the first workweek, daily subsistence for travel to the place of employment will be reimbursed at a rate of at least $15.46/day to a maximum of $59.00/day with receipts. Also, workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (except passport fees). The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.
