Job Description: The Nurse Quality Improvement Specialist serves the organization as a proactive consultant, educator, and advisor in the use of system design and quality improvement process, tools, and philosophy related to clinical needs.This role is clinically focused with emphasis on patient safety, infection control, and evidence-based standards of practice. The role will provide directors, management, andstaff with expert advice, research, education, and tools that enable them to continually improve the care they provide patients. The Nurse Quality Improvement Specialist will facilitate required work and communication between committees and the nursing council structure supporting clinical processes and workflows. Integrates population health strategies into quality work. This specialist assists in meeting regulatory standards, complying with corporate policy, and promotes collaboration with internal and external customers. Major Responsibilities: 1.Applies and teaches the standard performance and process improvement methods. Build competency around improvement methodology & tools at the local level to support operational and clinical quality initiatives, improve performance and achieve organizational goals.
