Description
NetApp Storage Administrator
Robert Half Technology is partnering with a client seeking a NetApp Storage administrator. This role will have a focus on providing effective storage solutions and maintaining systems. The Storage Engineer will be responsible for managing storage protocols such as NFS, CIFS, iSCSI, and FC, and will be expected to handle Netapp Storage and ONTAP clusters along with AFF and FAS arrays. This role is contract to hire and does not support C2C engagement.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and maintain NetApp Storage, ensuring efficient use and storage of data.
• Handle ONTAP clusters, AFF, and FAS arrays, ensuring they are properly configured and optimized.
• Implement and maintain storage protocols such as NFS, CIFS, iSCSI, and FC to ensure seamless data transfer.
• Work with virtualization technologies, particularly VMware, to create and manage virtual environments.
• Utilize various skills like AB Testing, and Backup Technologies to enhance system performance.
• Conduct Cluster Analysis to evaluate the performance of storage clusters and make necessary adjustments.
• Use knowledge of software to troubleshoot and resolve any software-related issues.
• Apply expertise in NetApp Filers and Clustered Data to manage and optimize storage systems.
• Oversee and manage Enterprise Storage to ensure data is securely and efficiently stored.
Requirements
Requirements:
• Experience with Backup Technologies is necessary.
• Expertise in Cluster Analysis.
• Familiarity with Common Internet File System (CIFS).
• Must possess knowledge of Computer Hardware.
• Experience with NetApp Storage is essential.
• Proficiency in working with NetApp Filers is needed.
• Must have a sound understanding of Clustered Data.
• Experience with Enterprise Storage
• Strong understanding of NetApp storage solutions, including ONTAP, AFF, and FAS.
• Proficiency in storage protocols such as NFS, CIFS, iSCSI, and FC.
• Experience with storage virtualization and data replication technologies.
• Solid understanding of network infrastructure and protocols.
• Strong scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
