Job Summary: The Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of refrigerated goods using a cargo van. This role involves delivering products to various locations, ensuring the accuracy of orders, and maintaining the vehicle in good condition. The ideal candidate should have a valid drivers license, a clean driving record, and experience in delivery driving. Strong organizational skills and a commitment to excellent customer service are essential.

Key Responsibilities: Safe Driving and Delivery: Operate a box truck to transport goods to various customer locations, ensuring safe and timely deliveries. Follow designated routes and schedules, adjusting as needed for traffic, weather, or other conditions. Load and unload products from the truck, ensuring items are handled safely and securely. Order Verification:

Review delivery instructions, including order information and delivery locations, to ensure accuracy. Verify the contents of delivery orders against shipping documents to ensure the correct products are delivered. Customer Service:

Provide professional and courteous service to customers during deliveries, addressing any concerns or issues promptly. Obtain customer signatures and provide receipts as required. Vehicle Maintenance:

Perform daily inspections of the truck, checking for any mechanical issues or necessary repairs. Keep the truck clean and in good working order, reporting any maintenance needs to the supervisor. Ensure that the vehicle is fueled and ready for use each day. Compliance and Safety:

Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, ensuring safe driving practices at all times. Follow company policies and procedures regarding vehicle use, delivery protocols, and customer interactions. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption. Documentation:

Complete and submit delivery logs, timesheets, and other required paperwork accurately and on time. Report any incidents, accidents, or delays to the supervisor immediately. Qualifications: Valid drivers license appropriate for the vehicle class (e.g., CDL not required). Clean driving record with no major violations. Proven experience as a delivery driver or similar role. Familiarity with GPS devices and other route planning tools. Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 pounds). Excellent time management and organizational skills. Strong communication and customer service skills. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, carry, and move items up to 50 pounds. Prolonged periods of driving and sitting. Ability to load and unload goods, which may involve bending, kneeling, and reaching. Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
