Robert Half Controller in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin

Description We are in search of a diligent Controller to join our team in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. In this role, you will be at the forefront of overseeing financial processes, including budget preparation, report generation, accounts receivable monitoring, and regulatory compliance. Your responsibility will also extend to managing the accounting team and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all financial operations.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the direct preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasts

• Support management by preparing monthly and annual reports aimed at achieving resort financial goals

• Monitor accounts receivable and ensure bills are sent out accurately and promptly

• Balance and account for all banks

• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and company policies

• Prepare reports as required by regulatory agencies

• Manage and track capital projects expenditures

• Complete external company audits

• Coordinate software conversions, ensuring a smooth and accurate transition

• Manage the accounting team and ensure all day-to-day tasks are completed accurately and on time

• Provide financial advice to the ownership as needed

• Ensure proper controls are in place for all company operations, from accounting to hotel operations

Skills:

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Solutions

• Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in Auditing and Budget Processes

• Familiarity with DCAA and ADP - Financial Services

• Expertise in Accounting Functions Requirements • Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services

• Knowledge of DCAA regulations and procedures

• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems

• Ability to implement and manage ERP Solutions

• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proven track record in Auditing

• Knowledge of Budget Processes

• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with various departments

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity

• Ability to make decisions and solve problems effectively

• Strong understanding of business and income tax worksheets and computations

• Experience in developing financial reports for forecasting, trend analysis, outcome predictions, and internal control.
