FFP Power BI Data Analyst in Lake Mary, Florida

Job Description:

Computer, interpersonal and customer service skills are necessary. The candidate must be able to multi-task and demonstrate the ability to work with a diverse work group of stakeholders. Position Responsibilities This position will work in coordination with Finance, Sales, Marketing and Business Development teams to:

  • Developing new reports and improving existing reports through Microsoft Power BI.

  • Develop “what if” dashboards for impact analysis.

  • Researching, exploring, analyzing, extracting, obtaining, evaluating, and understanding the information that supports our applications and reporting.

  • Perform tasks on Power BI desktop (basic to advance) like ETL (Extract Transform and Load), Manage Relationship and creating Visuals. • Ensuring the accuracy and reliability of the data presented in the dashboards and reports. This involves validating the data and implementing quality checks.

  • Will establish logic and primary keys for table relationship in Power BI.

  • Setting up meetings and understanding the requirements of internal & external stakeholders.

  • Perform task independently using advanced Power Query steps, DAX formula, Measures etc.

  • Should be creative in terms of producing visuals and showing data in presentable format.

  • Effective verbal & written communication, proactiveness & ownership attitude is required. • Will be delivering quality and timely deliverables.

  • Keep track of various dashboards created and targets.

  • Execute agile type of task under typical program/portfolio.

  • Work on advanced/complex Excel & Power BI dashboards to carry out any type of project analysis. • Connecting various data sources to Power BI (Microsoft Business Central, spreadsheets, Files, SharePoint folder, Azure, SQL Server, DB2, or other databases as needed)

  • Analytical thinking for translating data into meaningful statistics & information.

  • Capable of implementing row-level security on data along with an understanding of application security layer models in Power BI. Ensuring appropriate access controls and data protection measures are enforced.

  • Will create and update Power BI procedures specific to projects.

  • Deployment of dashboards and maintenance of Power BI services within Workspace along with managing administration activities.

  • Train end-users how to use the dashboards and reports effectively. This includes explaining how to interpret the data and make data-driven decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer or business-related field (Computer Information Systems, Computer Science,

  • Management Information Systems, etc.) 3-5 years of end-to-end development experience using Microsoft PowerBI, including PowerBI Report Server, Microsoft Report Builder, DAX, and Power Query M formula language preferred

  • 3-5 years of experience writing SQL preferred - demonstrate proficiency in understanding data sources and shaping data for performance in the BI presentation layer 3+ year(s) of experience in Business Intelligence preferred, including reporting, data modeling, data integration, and data quality practices.

  • Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

  • Job Type: Full-time Experience level: 3 - 5 years.

  • Schedule: M - F, 8 - 5pm
