Description
Job Title: Junior Staff Accountant/AR Specialist
Salary: $50-60K
Responsibilities:
Manage the collections process, including reaching out to customers for payments and following up on pending invoices or short payments.
Communicate effectively with various stakeholders through well-written emails and professional phone calls.
Coordinate with the team in India to handle paperwork and apply customer payments.
Assist with additional assignments such as tax compliance and liaising with the Department of Revenue as needed.
Have the ability to adapt to a fluid role and take on diverse tasks as they come.
Requirements
Key Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
Minimum of 6 months of experience with general accounting, new graduates are welcome
Proficiency in Excel and knowledge of NetSuite (preferred but not required)
Strong written and oral communication skills
Professional/business acumen
Accounting knowledge from an educational background
Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate for this role is professional, has strong communication skills and accounting knowledge. They will spend about 50% of their time handling collections, working closely with the team based in India. The person in this role will have the opportunity to take on additional assignments as they come, as the role is fluid in nature.
