Marketing/Proposal Senior Specialist in our growth-orientedengineering,
environmental consulting, and construction firm.The position is ideal for
candidates with a passion for strategic business development, compelling
writing, creative thinking, and pursuit development. We are looking for
candidates who are self-driven, efficient with deadlines, and able to work
effectively with diverse teams of engineers, marketers, and design staff
to create persuasive content and standout deliverables. The successful
candidate will partner and work closely with senior marketing and sales
leaders ontracking opportunities and developing strategies to capture work in
competitive markets; creatingpersuasive proposals, presentations, and
marketing materials; and maintainingsystems and tools to promote overall
efficiency and effectiveness. The position provides a variety of sales and
marketing support functions as outlined below.

The Marketing/Proposal Senior Specialist works closely with senior leaders
supporting sales/marketing and business development efforts, including
proposal tracking and research; supporting pre-positioning activities;
creation of persuasive proposals, presentations, and marketing
materials; team development and training; research of pursuits and client
organizations; and maintenance of systems and tools to promote overall
efficiency and effectiveness. This position will be based in one of our
Central Area offices. Primary responsibilities include:
Proposal / Presentation Development:Partners with pursuit teams on Area
water, wastewater, and infrastructure pursuits to advance our positioning
and deliver proposals that resonate with our clients. Responsibilities include
coordinating all elements of pursuits: client and pursuit strategy
development, developing strong and compelling messaging for proposals,
developing new content that aligns with positioning strategy to drive win
themes, formatting, proofreading, coordination with graphics,
editing/review, compliance, brand adherence, and efficient and timely
production. Candidate should be able to demonstrate previous experience
directing and leading similar type proposals and facilitating robust
positioning discussions. Demonstrated experience leading interview preparation
and coaching of technical staff is a plus.
Client Development: Provides general business development support to
facilitate client contact by Client Service Managers (CSM), including
assembling information packages, connecting CSMs to other clients,
experts, and opportunities within the organization, organizing client
workshops and special events, and maintaining marketing files.Work with CSMs
to understand and respond to client needs, meetings, and events. Working
with technical teams to help further develop a strong client and business
mindset by encouraging out of the box activities to further expand client
relationships and understand how to link to strong pursuit capture plans.
Business Development: Contributes to company marketing process improvements
to support efficiency and overall sales program effectiveness.Provides
planning support for regional conferences to maximize presence and investment.
Marketing Information:Manages process to create and maintain
well-organized, up-to-date qualifications statements, project
descriptions, and resumes that reflect firm strengths and client
benefits.Provides timely entry of accurate and complete opportunity
information and products in company tracking system.
Desired Skills and Experience:
A Bachelor's degree (Communications, English, Journalism, or
Marketing preferred) with 6-10 years of experience in a related role,
preferably in the engineering, environmental, architectural, and/or
constructio
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills with emphasis on superior
persuas ve writing and presentation ability. Experience coaching others in
interviews/presentations required.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently as well as in
team environments, often under tight deadline situations.
Ability to identify key issues and patterns from partial/conflicting data.
Proficient use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Experience with InDesign highly preferred.

InDesign Suite
Salary Range:Theanticipatedstarting payrange for this position is based on
the employee's primary work location and maybemore or lessdependingupon
skills, experience,and education. These ranges may be modified in the future.
Location A: $30/hr - $41/hr
Location B: $33/hr - $45/hr
Location C: $36/hr - $49/hr
