Job Overview Responsible for performing Center maintenance and repair in the following crafts: electrical, carpentry, plumbing, heating/ventilation repair and computerized HVAC control system, in compliance with government, corporate, and management directives. Responsibilities Eessential Duties & Job Functions: Troubleshoot, repair and adjust heating/ventilation systems, i.e. boilers, burners, pumps, air handlers, computerized control and perform flue gas analysis. Troubleshoot, repair and maintain electrical circuits and fixtures. Effect repairs of plumbing, i.e. leaks, clogs and new installations. Service and maintain laundry room equipment. Effect door and lock hardware repair. Make structural and finish repairs to buildings with wood and steel fabrication. Research, order and track, repair parts; receive items from warehouse, using appropriate administrative process. Track and manage work orders using computerized preventative maintenance system. Perform road and grounds maintenance/snow removal. Perform various repairs to include, welding, furniture repair, hanging pictures and repairing holes in walls and ceilings. Operate variety of equipment and power tools. Perform limited repairs of buildings and associated equipment, fixtures, and infrastructure. Maintain accountability of students and property; adhere to safety practices. Cultivate and maintain a climate on Center which is free of harassment, intimidation, and disrespect to provide a safe place for staff and students to work and learn. Promote student attainment of career success standards through modeling appropriate skills, mentoring students, monitoring skill acquisition and intervening when inappropriate behavior is observed. Perform all other duties as requested. Job Requirements Mandatory: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Three years related grounds keeping/craft/maintenance experience and/or training. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
