We are seeking a skilled Logistics Coordinator to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with staff, management, customers, and vendors. They will interface with project teams to resolve issues, coordinate transportation providers, respond to customer inquiries, and ensure the accuracy of shipping documents. Additionally, the Logistics Coordinator will develop efficient supply chain processes and assist with dispatching port drivers once trained.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain work relationships with staff, management, customers, and vendors.

  • Interface with project teams to investigate and resolve issues, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing.

  • Coordinate transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments.

  • Respond to customer inquiries and refer clients to the proper channels.

  • Review bills of lading (BOL) and shipping documents to ensure accuracy.

  • Make special shipping arrangements as necessary and track and fix shipping errors.

  • Ensure that the quality of all services provided meets required standards.

  • Develop processes to make the supply chain more efficient and organized.

  • Notify shipment arrivals, availability, and departures.

  • Maintain and request missing documentation.

  • Provide secretarial support by entering, formatting, and printing information, organizing work, answering the telephone, relaying messages, and maintaining supplies.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Proficiency in computer keyboarding skills.

  • Effective communication skills with a friendly personality.

  • Organizational skills and ability to respond to requests effectively and efficiently.

  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Mr. Mover.

  • Ability to communicate politely and positively with customers via phone, face-to-face, or email correspondence.

  • Written and verbal communication skills with all levels of management.

  • Critical thinking skills.
