Job Title: Overnight Pharmacist
Job Description
As a Pharmacist, your primary responsibilities will involve the accurate preparation of medications for final dispensing to patients, which includes tasks such as filling, order entry, and packaging. You will be expected to review completed orders and cycle-fill medications to ensure prescriptions were filled correctly. Part of your role will involve verifying the legality and pharmaceutical feasibility of dispensing a drug based on patients' allergies, incompatibilities with current medications, frequency of refills, etc. You will be interpreting prescription orders, and will need to exercise professional judgment in determining whether to dispense a particular prescription, taking into account patient safety and legal limitations. Adherence to all Federal and State Board of Pharmacy regulations is mandatory, as is compliance with all applicable guidelines for compounding. Transferring prescriptions to other pharmacies as needed, and answering questions from patients, doctors, nurses, etc. are also part of your role.
