Description:
- The Contingent Change Management Engineer serves as Administrative Support to the Change Management Engineer (CME) as the CME is the air traffic controller of all changes coming into the Manufacturing/Production world, assuring that everything is complete, concise and parts are here to seamlessly incorporate the change into Operations. It is a cross functional position with knowledge of the transition of an Engineered Design into Manufacturing Documentation and Processes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The main responsibility for the person in this role is to support the Change Management Engineer in their day-to-day activities. Those activities involve the following, mainly:
Creating change notice tasks
Updating and maintaining the controlled copy log
Executing manufacturing bill of material update
Costing requests
Metrics reporting for change management
Example: OCO (Operations Change Order) status (weekly, monthly, yearly)
The creation and management of written change management procedures
And other supporting tasks for the Change Management Engineer
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Exceptional interpersonal skills and an effective communicator
Experience with SAP-MBP, Windchill, familiarity with Bill of materials, Planning, and Change Management in an Operations/Factory environment is required.
Knowledge of manufacturing document requirements
Clearly communicate problems to appropriate personnel/departments/functions and aid in the resolution of the issue
Broad understanding of business systems, organizational culture, and behaviors
Treat unexpected circumstances as opportunities to learn and adopt new techniques
Respond effectively to unpredictable or unexpected events
