Overview The QC Analyst I is an entry-level, non-exempt position that
reports to the QC Management Team. The QC Analyst I is responsible for
performing quality control testing on various state-of-the-art
diagnostic tests, components and standards for the food and beverage
industries. Essential Functions ? Perform quality control testing on
various state-of-the-art diagnostic test kits, components and standards
for the food and beverage industries. ? Be part of a QC team dedicated
to assuring the quality of these diagnostic tests for food safety. ?
Critically evaluate testing in process to determine root cause of out of
specification results and carry out appropriate follow up as needed. ?
Prepare and summarize data in a timely manner for review by QC/QA
management. ? Ensure that lab cleanliness and safety standards are
always maintained. ? Nothing in this job description restricts

this job at any time. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required: ? BS or
equivalent in Biochemistry or life sciences related field. ? Excellent
attention to detail ? Excellent verbal and written communication skills
? Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Access, Excel and Outlook ?
Understanding of basic statistics ? 0 to 2 years QC/QA experience ?
Available to work Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30 AM and
5:30 PM with some flexibility. Preferred: ? Advanced knowledge of MS
Excel ? 0 to 2 years GMP/GLP experience ? Understanding of
aseptic/sterile technique ? Strong interpersonal skills ? Diligent and
dependable ? Ability to give and receive feedback. ? Self-motivated
Physical Requirements: ? Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds. ? Able
to work under the pressure of tight deadlines. ? Able to visually
inspect tests for proper performance and/or defects. ? Able to remain in
a stationary position for an extended length of time. ? Able to work at
a lab bench and at a computer for an extended length of time. ? Able to
work for 10 to 15 minutes in low temperature environments (4?C and
-20?C) ? Able to work for up to 4 hours in low humidity environment
(\<20% RH) ? Able to safely handle antibiotics and mycotoxins in dry
powder and concentrated liquid form in a laboratory setting. ? Able to
operate a pipette repeatedly and accurately for up to 1000 repetitions
