Maximize equipment availability through the use of efficient and proactive preventative maintenance programs.Job ResponsibilitiesDiagnose electrical problems and perform mechanical repairs and maintenance to various types of equipment including but not limited to: tires, ready-mix concrete trucks, andheavy construction equipmentOperate and inspect equipment to diagnose defectsPerform routine preventative maintenance such as lubricating, oil changes, and failure analysisPerform routine brake inspections/ adjustments on commercial vehicles following Federal DOT requirementsTroubleshoots and repairs hydraulic systems, electronics, and other components of a concrete mixer trucksRemoves components for repair or replacement such as, but not limited to: injectors, starters, water pumps, radiators, brakes, etc.Create work orders on repairs and services providing legible and accurate information for work performedCoordinate with location supervisor and review Pre-Trip truck inspections to prioritize work accordinglyInput daily repair reports into software based tracking programCommunicate with drivers and plant managers to ensure adherence to preventative vehicle maintenance policies and practicesUse a wide variety of hand and power tools, cutting torches and welding equipmentOrder parts from approved vendors and drive company pick up/repair truck to pick up parts when neededOperate fixed and mobile equipment as necessaryMay assist in the maintenance and repair of fixed equipmentAdhere to all CEMEX and O.S.H.A. rules and regulations at all timesWear proper safety equipment while on plant groundsMeet or exceed company safety standardsPerform other job responsibilities as assigned by managementQualificationsMechanical experienceMust have own tools up to 1Be able to read, write, and speak EnglishHigh school diploma, preferredBilingual is a plusMechanical ExperienceHigh School diploma, preferredKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesMust have own tools up to 1 "Bilingual a plusBe able to read, write, and speak EnglishWorking ConditionsRegularly required to talk and hear, in order to communicate to employees/visitors as well as function safely around heavy rolling equipmentContinuous exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold, extreme noise, and working outdoorsMust wear protective equipment while atlocationsPhysical RequirementsMust be able to perform all job functions which include, but may not be limited towalking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, turning, climbing to a significant degree,...
