Associate Residency Program Director-Family Practice

General Summary
Assists with the administration and direction of the Family Practice Residency Program in accordance with appropriate requirements, standards and regulations. Assists in the review of quality, adequacy and appropriateness of resident education within the program
Job Summary:We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Associate Residency Program Director to join our Family Medicine Residency team. In this full-time role, you will assist in oversight of WellSpan Good Samaritan Family Medicine residency program, with a focus on enhancing resident education and coordinating inpatient services. You will also have the opportunity to supervise and teach MD and DO residents and medical students, participate in teaching rounds, and maintain a private outpatient practice.
Responsibilities:
Assist the program director to comply with the program requirements as outlined by the ACGME, the RRC's Program Requirements. Participate in teaching rounds, didactics, and resident recruitment/evaluation
Supervise and educate residents in residency research/scholarly/community activities
Maintain a personal patient care panel and participate in patient care in both the ambulatory and inpatient setting
Participate in medical staff activities and ensure compliance with safety regulations
Potential to oversee the Family Medicine continuity site as its clinical director
Qualifications:
M.D. or D.O. degree
License to practice in Pennsylvania
Completion of a Family Medicine residency
Excellent teaching, communication, and organizational skills
Minimum 2 years of experience as a faculty member in a Residency program
