Our client, a leading technology provider, is seeking a Data Center Technician - Technical IT 2 to join their team. As a Data Center Technician, you will be part of the IT department supporting critical operations. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a customer-focused mindset, which will align successfully with the organization.

Data Center Technician - Technical IT 2

Leesburg , VA (Day Shift & Night Shift positions available)

6 month contract, possible extension

$28 per hour

What's the Job?

• Prepare, stage, set up, and perform startups and shutdowns of IT equipment according to specific instructions and protocols.

• Conduct post-execution quality checks to ensure proper setup and compliance with safety protocols.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues following standard procedures, quickly identifying and replacing faulty components.

• Assist in decommissioning hardware for upgrades and refreshes, adhering to established guidelines.

• Monitor systems for equipment failures or performance errors and respond accordingly.

What's Needed?

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components.

• 1+ years of experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.

• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).

• Flexibility to work non-standard business hours, including weekends and holidays.
