CPS Regional Account Manager in Lehighton, Pennsylvania

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Generate pull-through sales of assigned products to Distribution, Dealer, Architect and Contractor customers
  • Cultivate new customer relationships, generate brand awareness and create demand for all assigned products
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of the products and applications and provide training to customer sales staff on merits and value proposition of products in the portfolio
  • Provide annual sales budget, 90-day Goal/Objective plans, and monthly market reports; develop and execute the strategy for quarterly and annual goals
  • Maintain and grows the existing customer base by using the company initiatives and training programs
  • Proactively engage all levels of the distribution channel through joint calls and targeted accounts
  • Identify and/or attend relevant tradeshows within the territory
  • Actively participate at company sponsored tradeshow exhibits
  • Understand and identify influencers and decision-makers within key regional accounts, establishing relationships at all levels to maximize sales potential
  • Function as part of a larger sales and marketing team, providing input on marketing programs, merchandising, advertising and public relations
  • Monitor marketplace trends and market pricing, and provide customers with up-to-date market intelligence that will enhance their efforts to sell our products
  • Deliver regular reports to management on market conditions, market forecasts, product improvements and progress on required dates
  • Investigate and set up clients on a direct / OEM basis
  • Assist the Sr. Regional Sales Manager and Production Technology Team in product improvements and new product development
  • Develop own territory routing and new accounts
  • Conduct joint territory strategy with Business Unit Manager
  • Consult the Business Unit Manager for all pricing issues
  • Perform other duties and activities as directed

     Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years sales experience within an existing distribution network, such as dealers, contractors, architects, and facility managers

  • Ability to work within a team/collaborative approach to provide market solutions
  • Solid organizational and planning skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to build relationships with a variety of professionals and co-workers
  • Strong aptitude for consultative selling
  • Strong presentation and oral skills
  • Strong, timely follow-up skills
  • Ability to effectively organize and plan the travel necessary within a regional territory
  • Travel 60% of the time within the assigned territory (East Coast)
  • Strong ethical values
  • Skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
